Travis George’s FIRST & FINAL Performances on Britain’s Got Talent — From “Stars” to “This Is Me”

Travis George’s journey on Britain’s Got Talent took him from a nervous first appearance to the show’s Grand Final.

The Welsh singer first appeared on the BGT stage in 2023 and performed “Stars” from Les Misérables. He later returned for the live final, where he performed “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman.

Travis George’s First Performance

When Travis George first walked onto the Britain’s Got Talent stage, he appeared nervous.

ITV reported that he was lost for words when he walked on stage, but that changed once the music began. Travis performed “Stars” from Les Misérables, and ITV described the performance as phenomenal, noting that the audience was rooting for him.

His audition immediately introduced viewers to his powerful singing voice.

The performance also earned positive reactions from the judges, allowing Travis to continue his BGT journey.

From “Stars” to the Live Shows

Travis continued through the competition and eventually reached the live semi-finals.

During the semi-final, he performed “Bring Him Home,” another song from Les Misérables. His performance placed him second in the public vote for that semi-final, and he advanced to the Grand Final after the judges’ vote was tied.

That meant Travis had gone from a nervous first audition to one of the finalists of the 2023 competition.

Travis George Reaches the Final

For the Grand Final, Travis chose a very different song.

Instead of returning to Les Misérables, he performed “This Is Me” from The Greatest Showman.

ITV described the performance as a powerhouse performance and highlighted Travis’s distinctive voice.

The final performance also showed a different side of Travis compared with his first audition.

He had already experienced the pressure of the competition and returned to the stage as a finalist, performing in front of a much larger audience.

“Stars” vs. “This Is Me”

The contrast between Travis’s first and final performances makes his BGT journey particularly interesting.

His first performance was “Stars,” a song from Les Misérables that immediately showcased his vocal style.

His final performance was “This Is Me,” a song from The Greatest Showman that allowed him to approach the stage with a different musical style.

Together, the two performances show how his song choices changed throughout the competition.

A Journey to the Grand Final

Travis was one of the finalists of Britain’s Got Talent Series 16.

He performed fifth in the Grand Final and finished 8th, according to the published final results.

Although he did not win the competition, reaching the final meant that Travis had successfully progressed through the auditions and live semi-finals to become one of the final acts of the series.
